PlanSocial offers a secure private social network so only approved registered users will have access to the community events and news that are posted within the community.

This provides reassurance to those who are reluctant to share details in public forums like Facebook or open blogs. It's also great for people who might not want to mix 'home' friends with 'school' social circles.

You can also choose to make specific event pages visible to the public so anyone can see what help is needed. However, in order to volunteer or view or post on the message wall, they'd have to register as a member.

When an event page is public, this allows non-members to purchase tickets for events using the guest checkout facility. This makes it possible to sell tickets to a large audience even using the free version of PlanSocial (the Payment Hub), since guests do not affect your maximum member limit.

Please note that for the free Payment Hub, it is not possible to make event pages private, since the page must be public in order to allow no-members ("guests) to check out.
